Strike Energy Ltd is seeking a Senior Reservoir Engineer to join our team in West Perth. This is a key role responsible for providing reservoir engineering expertise across exploration, appraisal and development activities.

Reporting to the General Manager of Subsurface, you will provide reservoir engineering expertise, ensuring high-quality, traceable and timely technical evaluations that support commercial, operational and investment decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support reservoir engineering activities across exploration, appraisal and development projects, providing technical input to support business growth and investment decisions.

  • Develop and maintain integrated reservoir-to-surface models using tools such as Prosper, MBAL, GAP, Eclipse or equivalent software to evaluate development concepts and optimise field performance.

  • Prepare, review and technically assure reservoir engineering inputs to Field Development Plans (FDPs), including forecasts, assumptions, uncertainties and development recommendations.

  • Support resource and reserves evaluations through reservoir modelling, recovery factor assessments and EUR estimates in accordance with PRMS guidelines.

  • Coordinate annual Reserves and Resources reporting in collaboration with Subsurface and Exploration teams.

  • Monitor production performance, identify variances against forecast, integrate production data into reservoir models and recommend optimisation opportunities.

  • Conduct deterministic and probabilistic uncertainty analyses and risk assessments to support reserves bookings, development planning and investment decisions.

  • Provide reservoir characterisation inputs, including PVT, pressure and permeability data, to support static and dynamic modelling activities.

  • Support drilling, completions and well evaluation programs through interpretation of logging and production test data and definition of reservoir engineering data requirements.

  • Prepare and communicate high-quality reservoir engineering analyses and recommendations for compliance reporting, Joint Venture partners, management and Board presentations.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • 10+ years' experience in oil and gas exploration, appraisal and development.

  • A tertiary qualification in Petroleum Engineering or a related engineering discipline.

  • Demonstrated experience applying PRMS principles to resource and reserves classification, estimation, reporting and documentation.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to evaluate technical data and make sound recommendations.

  • Proven ability to communicate complex technical concepts and build alignment with internal stakeholders and Joint Venture partners.

  • Sound understanding of prospect and lead evaluation, asset management, uncertainty analysis and risking methodologies.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience preparing technical reports and presentations for a range of audiences.

What You'll Need

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and consistently deliver high-quality outcomes within agreed timeframes.

  • Experience working autonomously while collaborating effectively within a small, multidisciplinary team.

  • A methodical, process-driven approach with strong attention to detail.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, SharePoint, Power BI and Outlook.

  • Advanced experience with reservoir engineering and simulation software, including Petroleum Experts' Integrated Production Modelling suite (Prosper, MBAL, GAP), Petrel RE, INTERSECT and Eclipse.

Apply now and play a key role in advancing our exploration and development portfolio, delivering the reservoir engineering insights that support critical technical and commercial decisions.
