About the role
Mora Wines & Artisan Kitchen is seeking an experienced Front of House professional to deliver exceptional service in our beautiful winery restaurant nestled amongst the gardens and vineyards of Lake Hayes, just outside Arrowtown. We pride ourselves on exceptional food, beautiful wines, warm hospitality and creating memorable experiences for every guest who visits. Our philosophy is simple — genuine hospitality, attention to detail and making every guest feel welcome, relaxed and well looked after.
Key responsibilities
Deliver consistently exceptional, warm and professional customer service and show genuine care for every guest and their overall dining experience
Welcome guests and create a friendly, relaxed and memorable atmosphere
Provide attentive, knowledgeable service without being intrusive
Confidently manage tables, take orders and deliver food and beverages
Anticipate guest needs and go the extra mile to exceed expectations
Handle guest feedback professionally and positively
Develop excellent knowledge of Mora wines, our food menus and seasonal offerings
Confidently recommend wines and food pairings to enhance the guest experience
Maintain exceptional presentation and cleanliness throughout the restaurant, gardens and guest areas
Assist with opening and closing procedures and support private functions, weddings and special events when required
About you
Previous experience in a quality restaurant or hospitality environment
Experience in a winery restaurant or wine-focused venue is highly desirable
A genuine passion for wine and a desire to continually grow their wine knowledge
A natural warmth and genuine care for delivering outstanding guest service
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Confidence managing their own section during busy service
Strong attention to detail and high personal standards
A friendly, engaging personality and a positive attitude
The ability to work independently and as part of a team
Flexibility to work weekends and occasional evenings for events
