Education Delivery Lead
Netsafe New Zealand | 0.8 FTE | 18 month fixed-term contract | Starting January 2027
Can you deliver an ambitious national online learning programme and turn it into lasting relationships with schools?
Netsafe is looking for an organised, proactive and relationship-focused professional to help deliver and grow the next stage of our education work.
In January 2027, we will launch a national professional-learning programme helping teachers use generative AI confidently, effectively, safely and responsibly.
You will take operational ownership of the learner journey and help us achieve our ambitious completion targets by building relationships, connecting the learning with real-life application and supporting learners along the way. You do not need to be an AI expert. You just need to be someone who can take ownership, stay well organised and build trusted relationships to understand what schools need.
This role goes beyond delivering one programme, because you will leverage the learner relationships as a gateway to grow engagement with Netsafe’s wider education offers, identify opportunities for paid professional learning and whole-school digital-safety support, and work with the wider Education team to build a scalable education delivery model for the future and turn good ideas into action.
What you'll be doing
You'll be the person keeping the programme moving, the learners engaged and the results on track.
Your role will include:
Owning the learner journey: From first registration to final completion, you'll help ensure the educators in the programme have a smooth, engaging and rewarding experience.
Bringing people on board: You'll spot opportunities to reach more teachers, support promotional activities and turn initial interest into active participation.
Keeping learners motivated: You'll create engaging communications, follow up with participants, identify where people are dropping off and find ways to bring them back.
Facilitating live online learning: You'll run welcoming, interactive sessions that help teachers build confidence and put their learning into practice.
Maintain a clear view of the programme pipeline: You’ll keep your eye on the numbers of enquiries, registrations, starts, completions, participating schools and future opportunities.
Showing the difference we're making: You'll capture feedback, insights and real examples of how teachers are applying their learning.
Making things better: You'll look for smarter ways of working, improvements to the learner experience and new ideas worth trying.
As part of Netsafe's Education & Product team, you’ll also have the opportunity to contribute to other projects that help schools and communities navigate digital life. Depending on your skills and interests, there will be opportunities to get involved in developing resources, engaging educators, improving digital products and helping bring new ideas to life. We’re looking for someone who can help us grow Netsafe’s education services and products, strengthen relationships with schools and identify opportunities for paid professional learning and whole-school digital-safety support.
Who we're looking for
You might come from education, learning and development, programme coordination, community engagement, customer success or a related field.
What's most important is how you work. You're someone who takes initiative, enjoys connecting with people and gets genuine satisfaction from making things happen.
You'll bring:
Experience coordinating programmes, projects or learning experiences.
Confidence facilitating online sessions or workshops.
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
Strong organisation, attention to detail and follow-through.
Confidence using digital tools and juggling a few plates at the same time.
A proactive approach to solving problems and improving results.
Curiosity about AI, education and the changing digital world.
· Strong relationships with, or experience working across, New Zealand schools and education networks would be a bonus, but not essential.
What’s in it for you?
This is an opportunity to make a meaningful contribution to how New Zealand teachers navigate one of the biggest changes in education.
You'll have the chance to:
Take ownership of a national professional learning programme.
Combine facilitation, communication, coordination and creative problem-solving in one varied role.
Work with a small, collaborative team developing practical solutions for schools.
Bring your own ideas to the table and see them put into action.
Develop experience across digital learning, programme delivery, engagement and educational innovation.
Contribute to wider initiatives that support safer, more confident digital participation across Aotearoa.
We're looking for someone who wants to do more than work through a task list. If you enjoy spotting what needs doing, coming up with ideas and seeing them through, we'd love to hear from you.
