Duraplan Restrooms designs, manufactures and delivers commercial restroom, changeroom, locker and end-of-trip spaces throughout New Zealand.

We’re looking for a practical, motivated Factory / CNC Production Assistant to join our manufacturing team.

This could suit someone looking to develop their career in manufacturing, or someone who already has experience with CNC machinery, programming, joinery or production and is looking for their next opportunity.

The role

Working in our restroom joinery factory, you’ll be involved in the manufacture and preparation of products including compact laminate toilet partitions, vanities, lockers and associated joinery.

Depending on your experience, the role could include:

  • Operating CNC and other factory machinery

  • CNC programming and machine setup

  • Reading drawings and production information

  • Cutting, machining and preparing components

  • Assembly and general manufacturing

  • Quality checking finished components

  • Packing and preparing products for projects

  • Helping improve manufacturing processes and efficiency

  • General factory duties as required

Who we're looking for

We’re more interested in finding the right person with the right attitude than someone who ticks every box.

You might have experience in:

  • CNC operation or programming

  • Cabinetmaking or joinery

  • CAD/CAM or computer-based production

  • Machine operation

  • Factory or production work

Alternatively, you may be someone who is mechanically minded, good with computers, practical and keen to learn.

You’ll ideally be:

  • Reliable and hardworking

  • Accurate with good attention to detail

  • Comfortable using computers and machinery

  • Able to read measurements and drawings

  • Practical and good at problem solving

  • Keen to learn new systems and technology

  • Comfortable working as part of a team

What we offer

  • A full-time role with an established New Zealand manufacturing business

  • Training and development for the right person

  • Opportunity to develop CNC programming and manufacturing skills

  • Modern manufacturing equipment and systems

  • Variety of work rather than repetitive production

  • Opportunity to grow your responsibilities as your skills develop

  • A supportive, practical team environment

Experience is an advantage, but attitude, reliability and willingness to learn are just as important.

If you’re looking for a hands-on manufacturing role where you can develop your technical skills and become an important part of our production team, we’d like to hear from you.
