Solar Electrician - Current Generation Systems Ltd (Nelson/Tasman)
The Opportunity
Work for a well-established, growing business, leading the electrical installation and commissioning on one of our installation teams.
While the role primarily involves working with and leading the team to install and commission solar, inverters and battery systems for residential and commercial customers, it is a varied role and you will be involved in:
Pre-installation planning
Generators
Mechanical installation including ground mounts
Off-grid systems
Commissioning and fault finding
Smart energy management systems
Product testing

Work on Solar, Batteries & Off-Grid Systems
This is not repetitive housing work. You’ll work on a wide variety of systems using leading brands including Victron, Fronius, BYD, and Sigenergy - alongside a team that takes pride in doing the job properly.
What We’re Looking For
NZ Registered Electrician with current practising licence
Attention to detail and high quality workmanship
Reliable and takes ownership of their work
Practical problem solver
Professional with customers and the team
Physically capable and comfortable working at heights
Wants to keep learning and developing
Solar experience and a Mains Parallel endorsement is a real bonus, but not essential. The right attitude and electrical fundamentals matter more.

We’re not a volume franchise operation. We focus on quality workmanship, strong technical standards, and building long-term capability in our team. There is some overnight travel required on occasion, typically 1-2 nights per month.
