Full-Time Receptionist – Contractor Position
North West Ultrasound – Hobsonville, Auckland
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm
North West Ultrasound is looking for an experienced, friendly and reliable Receptionist to join our team on a full-time contractor basis.
This is a hands-on, patient-facing role. As the first point of contact for our patients, you will play an important part in creating a welcoming experience and helping our busy ultrasound practice run smoothly each day.
What you’ll be doing
Greeting and welcoming patients in a friendly and professional manner
Booking, changing and coordinating patient appointments
Answering telephone enquiries and assisting patients with their queries
Managing referrals and patient information
Maintaining accurate patient records
Processing payments and completing general administrative duties
Liaising with sonographers, referring doctors and other healthcare professionals
Keeping the reception and waiting area clean, tidy and welcoming
Supporting the team with day-to-day clinic administration
What we’re looking for
We are looking for someone who:
Has previous experience in reception, administration or customer service
Has healthcare or medical reception experience (preferred)
Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Is organised and able to manage multiple tasks in a busy environment
Is confident answering phones and dealing with patients
Has good computer skills and is comfortable learning practice management software
Understands the importance of patient confidentiality
Has a friendly, professional and positive attitude
Is reliable, punctual and takes pride in their work
You will need to be comfortable working independently while also being part of a small, supportive team.
Contractor Position
This is a full-time contractor position, with regular working hours of:
Monday to Friday: 8:00am – 5:00pm
We are looking for someone who is available and committed to working these hours consistently.
The successful contractor will be responsible for managing their own tax and ACC obligations and will be engaged under a contractor agreement.
