Job Description
Treatment plants. Pipelines. Deep drainage. Complex water infrastructure.
Rebel Recruitment is looking for experienced Project Managers with strong civil construction backgrounds, ideally within 3 Waters.
We’re working with strong-performing Tier 1 and Tier 2 contractors with opportunities across Auckland, Northland, Tauranga & Bay of Plenty, Hamilton, Christchurch and Hawke’s Bay.
These are hands-on delivery roles. You’ll need to understand what is happening on site, lead your team, know your numbers and build strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
Experience across water and wastewater treatment plants, pipelines, pump stations, deep drainage and complex 3 Waters infrastructure is highly advantageous.
The Role
You’ll take ownership of projects from planning through construction and completion, including:
Leading water, wastewater, pipeline, treatment plant and complex drainage projects
Building and leading strong project teams, subcontractors and self-performing crews
Owning planning, programme, methodology and project risk
Managing cost, forecasting and cost to complete
Driving strong H&S, quality, client and stakeholder outcomes
You need to be comfortable getting into the detail, challenging the programme and dealing with issues before they become expensive problems.
What We’re Looking For
3 Waters experience is highly advantageous and our preferred background.
Ideally, you’ll bring:
Contractor-side Project Management experience in horizontal civil infrastructure
Experience across drainage, pipelines, pump stations, treatment plants or water infrastructure
Strong leadership, programming and commercial capability
Hands-on construction and project delivery experience
Strong H&S, client and stakeholder management
We’d also like to hear from strong horizontal civil PMs with transferable experience, and Mechanical Engineers with project management or delivery experience in water infrastructure.
Vertical building construction experience is not what we’re looking for.
Why These Roles Stand Out
Strong-performing Tier 1 and Tier 2 contractors
Strong forward pipelines of 3 Waters work
Genuine ownership of project delivery
Competitive salaries dependent on experience and capability
Clear opportunities for career progression
If you’re good at what you do, we’d rather understand what you want next and find an opportunity that genuinely stacks up.
