We’re looking for an experienced baker or pastry chef to help keep the pastry rolling at The ’Ansum Pasty Company.
We’re a small business making handmade Cornish-style pasties, pies and other savoury goods. We’re a relaxed bunch who enjoy what we do, work hard and care about making a proper good product.
The role is mainly focused on mixing, rolling and cutting pastry, so experience using a commercial pastry sheeter is essential. Our focus is savoury pastry, so this would suit someone who enjoys dough and production work.
Hours will mainly cover weekends, with flexibility around daytime or evening shifts. You’ll mostly be working by yourself, so you’ll need to be confident working independently, organising your workload and keeping things moving.
We’re growing as a business, and there’s real potential for this role to grow into a full-time position for the right person.
If this sounds like your kind of setup, send your CV to [email protected], along with a bit about yourself and your availability.
I’m always keen to meet others in the industry, so even if the hours don’t quite fit, get in touch. For the right person, I’d be happy to have a chat and see what we can make work.
