We’re looking for an experienced, easy-going Weighbridge Operator to join a down-to-earth team at a busy scrap metal and recycling site in Penrose. You’ll be the first face customers see, running the weighbridge, handling payments and looking after walk-in enquiries.

The Details
- Location: Penrose
- Pay: $32 to $35 per hour + weekly pay
- Hours: Monday to Friday, 6:00am to 5:00pm, plus a half day every second Saturday (7:00am to 12:00pm, some flexibility)
- Type: Full-time, Temp to Perm
- Start: ASAP
- Weighing vehicles in and out using ScrapIT
- Recording and checking weights (gross, tare, net)
- Handling cash and EFTPOS payments
- Answering customer phone calls
- Welcoming visitors and handling walk-in enquiries
- General admin
- Weighbridge experience is essential (scrap, recycling, quarry, landfill or transfer station)
- Strong customer service skills and a good phone manner
- Confident handling cash, EFTPOS and basic maths
- Comfortable staying calm with the odd difficult customer
- Accurate data entry and good attention to detail
- Solid, explainable work history
