Best Brains Hamilton is looking for an enthusiastic, dedicated and preferably experienced Abacus Teacher to join our growing educational team.
We are seeking someone passionate about teaching children, with the ability to deliver engaging lessons and help students develop strong mathematical and mental arithmetic skills.
We also have additional opportunities available for Maths & English Grader and a Centre Assistant to support our students' learning and day-to-day centre operations.
Key Responsibilities – Abacus Teacher
Deliver engaging Abacus lessons in accordance with the Best Brains curriculum and teaching methodology.
Teach children abacus techniques and develop their mental arithmetic abilities.
Help students improve calculation speed, concentration, memory and confidence.
Monitor individual student progress and provide constructive feedback.
Maintain a positive, supportive and interactive classroom environment.
Encourage students to achieve their learning goals through structured teaching and practice.
Skills and Requirements
Previous Abacus teaching experience is highly preferred.
Experience teaching children and managing classroom activities.
Background in Mathematics, Education, Engineering or a related field is preferred.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Patience, enthusiasm and a genuine passion for children's education.
Ability to create an engaging and supportive learning environment.
Willingness to undertake Best Brains curriculum training where required.
Candidates with previous experience in Abacus teaching or similar mental arithmetic programmes are particularly encouraged to apply.
Employment Details
Location: 542A Grey Street, Hamilton East, Hamilton.
Employment Type: Casual/On-call
Centre timings: 3:30 pm to 6:30pm (Wednesdays & Thursdays) & 9:30AM to 1:30pm (Saturdays).
Training: Best Brains curriculum training and guidance will be provided where applicable.
