Auckland CBD | Property Lawyers
We're recruiting for several law firms looking for lawyers with a property skillset and a genuine interest in building their careers in this space.
Whether you’re a junior ready for more responsibility, keen to specialise in commercial property or leasing, looking for more exposure to complex work, or seeking a change of environment, we’d love to hear from you.
Depending on the firm and your interests, your work could include:
Residential property: Managing purchases, sales and refinancing, reviewing sale and purchase agreements, titles and LIMs, advising on conditions, and coordinating lending, settlement and registration.
Commercial leasing: Acting for landlords and tenants on office, retail and industrial premises, drafting and negotiating lease documentation, and assisting with assignments, renewals and variations.
Commercial property conveyancing: Assisting with acquisitions and disposals of commercial and industrial properties, reviewing contracts, titles and existing leases, undertaking due diligence, and progressing transactions through to settlement.
Property development: Working on subdivisions, townhouse and unit-title developments, including site acquisitions, development documentation, easements and covenants, off-the-plan sales and settlements, and liaising with surveyors and other project advisers.
About you
New Zealand-qualified lawyer with 1 to 5 years’ PQE and a property background gained from private practice. Candidates with less than 1 year PQE (counting from date of admission) are not suitable for our current positions.
You’ll bring sound drafting skills, attention to detail and a practical, client-focused approach.
Be a team player who enjoys learning new systems and processes, and working to tight deadlines.
