As Marlborough’s regional port, Port Marlborough (PMNZ) supports a wide range of shipping and marine activities, including Cook Strait ferry operations, bulk cargo exports, cruise and superyacht visits, aquaculture support, and vessel maintenance.
We have a clear vision to lead the way as an environmentally restorative port, driving success for Marlborough. Our work is guided by five strategic pillars, People, Planet, Prosperity, Partnerships, and Performance.

The role offers a guaranteed minimum of 20 hours per week, with the opportunity for additional hours depending on team coverage and operational needs. Most rostered hours fall between 0600 and 2100, although occasional work outside these hours may be required to support our 24/7 operations.
We are looking for someone who is:
Local – Ideally based in Picton or within a 10-15 minutes’ drive of the Port
Capable – Previous commercial, industrial, or professional cleaning experience preferred, with strong attention to detail
NZ driver’s licence – Clean & full licence preferred (restricted considered)
Physically fit – Able to pass role-specific medical assessments
Flexible & reliable – Available for rostered shifts, including nights and weekends
Collaborative – Works well as part of a team with a positive, can-do attitude
Certificated – First Aid Certificate preferred but not essential. Support to obtain one can be provided.
