Veros started in 2012 with two people and one idea: project partners deserve better. It now has around 30 people across strategic advisory, property advisory, development management and project management. Its offices are in Tauranga, Rotorua and Hamilton, and it opened in Christchurch this year.
Veros began in development, so it thinks like an owner. It runs every project commercially and tells clients straight when something doesn't stack up. Its work includes Te Kete Aronui Rototuna Library, the Rotorua Lakefront and Wai Ariki Hot Springs & Spa, and much of it is repeat business won on relationships.
The Opportunity
Growing Hamilton has been a Veros priority for years, and the business believes the Waikato can match its Tauranga office. The demand is already there: about half of Veros' Waikato project management work is still delivered from Tauranga. What's missing is a senior leader on the ground.
This is not a cold start. You'll take on live projects, established clients and a Hamilton office with support already in place. The development management team beside you generates its own project management work.
The Role
Reporting to the Managing Director, you'll lead project management across the Waikato and build the Hamilton team. As the office grows, the role grows with it, into office leadership, P&L and potential ownership.
Delivery
You've built relationships and won work, and now you want to build something of your own. You don't need to have run an office before. You do need to know how to grow one.
Few roles let you build a regional business with secured work from day one and a pathway to ownership at the end of it. You'll have real autonomy and the backing of a leadership team that has wanted this appointment for a long time. And you can take the step up without leaving the Waikato.
