The Role
- Analysing approval, referral, arrears, and default trends to identify risks and performance opportunities
- Developing data-driven recommendations to improve credit strategies and business performance
- Enhancing automated decisioning processes and increasing operational efficiency
- Reviewing and optimising lending policies, scorecard cut-offs, and underwriting controls
- Monitoring the effectiveness of strategy changes and balancing growth, risk, and customer outcomes
- Producing management information, analysis, and insights for key stakeholders
- Working closely with Product, Underwriting, Commercial, and Decisioning teams to deliver strategic initiatives
- Supporting the implementation of strategy changes within decisioning systems
Your Skills & Experience
- Strong commercial experience in credit risk strategy within consumer lending
- Experience optimising acceptance strategies, lending limits, underwriting policies, or scorecard performance
- Strong analytical skills with SQL
- Python experience is advantageous
- Experience turning complex data into clear, actionable recommendations
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to influence decisions across both technical and non-technical audiences
- A commercial mindset with a strong understanding of risk management principles
