Christ's College is seeking an experienced, commercially minded and forward-thinking leader to join our team as Head of Property and Operations.

About the role
Reporting to the Headmaster, the Head of Property and Operations is a senior position with responsibility for a broad and varied portfolio spanning property and asset management, capital development, commercial operations, procurement, contract management and College-wide risk and compliance.
You will play a key role in the College's strategic and operational planning, providing leadership, commercial insight and practical solutions to support our long-term success.
Leading the Facilities Manager, Risk Manager and Uniform Shop Manager, you will oversee key operational functions, drive continuous improvement and ensure our services, assets and commercial arrangements are effectively managed.
From overseeing major capital projects and commercial contracts to identifying opportunities for innovation, efficiency and revenue generation, this is a role that offers both variety and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact.
About you
We are looking for an experienced leader who enjoys working across a diverse portfolio, brings sound commercial judgement and can balance strategic thinking with practical delivery.
You will bring:
● Proven leadership experience in property, operations, facilities, commercial management or a related field.
● Strong commercial acumen, including financial management, procurement and contract negotiation.
● Experience in strategic planning, operational improvement and managing complex stakeholder relationships.
● The ability to lead, develop and empower experienced managers and their teams.
● Sound understanding of property, asset management, health and safety and operational risk.
● Excellent communication, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
● A collaborative, proactive and solutions-focused approach.
Project management qualifications and/or experience delivering significant capital works or development projects would be advantageous.
