About the role

Duty manager with Supervisor responsibilities for the Lake Mahinapua Hotel on the West Coast. This is a hands-on leadership role where you lead by example and muck in wherever you're needed, helping different areas of the hotel. The Lake Mahinapua Hotel is a small hotel that covers restaurant service, general hotel duties such as grounds keeping and housekeeping, and hosts weddings and corporate functions, plus regular party nights 3-4 times a week.

Key responsibilities

• Restaurant service

• Work parties and late night shifts that can go past midnight

• Reception duties

• Front of house service

• Event support for weddings and corporate functions

• Help housekeeping, kitchen or general maintenance if needed

About you

• At least 6 months of experience bartending in New Zealand

• Work towards duty managers certificate if you don't have it

• Strong work ethic and happy to get stuck into physical work

• Proactive mindset - you see what needs doing and you get it done

• Reliable - you show up on time and ready to work

• Comfortable switching between departments

• Valid working rights in New Zealand required

• Comfortable working parties and late night shifts
