About the role

Goode Property manages more than 500 residential rental homes across Auckland. You'll be the primary contractor for plumbing and general property maintenance, handling a variety of repairs and maintenance across the portfolio with a consistent pipeline of jobs and clear communication from the team.

Key responsibilities

• Plumbing repairs: leaks, blocked drains, tapware, toilets and hot water cylinders

• General maintenance: doors, locks, hinges, minor carpentry, patching, curtain tracks and fixtures

• Pre-tenancy and end-of-tenancy repairs

• Healthy Homes maintenance within your authorised scope

• Urgent repairs and call-outs when required

About you

• PGDB registration and a current practising licence appropriate to the work

• Strong all-round handyman capability

• Excellent communication: clear quotes, timely updates and a collaborative approach

• Reliability and initiative: you organise your workload, keep appointments and follow jobs through to completion

• Quality workmanship: you take pride in your work, leave properties tidy and provide completion photos and clear job notes

• Professional manner: well presented, approachable and calm when dealing with tenants, owners and unexpected issues

• Your own business setup: vehicle, tools, GST registration and public liability insurance

• Comfortable using phone or job management apps for work orders, quotes, updates and invoicing
