POSITION PURPOSE

Support Sheet Metal manufacturing operations by developing and optimizing CNC programs for PRIMA equipment, ensuring efficient material utilization, machine readiness, inventory accuracy, and compliance with quality, safety, and productivity objectives.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Create and maintain CNC programs for PRIMA Sheet Metal equipment.

• Optimize nesting arrangements to maximize material utilization and reduce scrap.

• Ensure machine and tooling readiness for production requirements.

• Support tooling changes and verify proper equipment configuration.

• Maintain accurate inventory information within the Night Train system.

• Coordinate with Production Control regarding production schedules and priorities.

• Generate and communicate daily reports on production jobs and engineering changes.

• Collaborate with production leadership to support schedule attainment and operational efficiency.

• Maintain workplace organization through 5S principles.

• Support safety, quality, environmental, and continuous improvement initiatives.

NATURE AND SCOPE

This position is responsible for programming and supporting CNC Sheet Metal manufacturing operations. The role works closely with Production Control, Production, Quality, Engineering, Maintenance, and EHS to ensure machine efficiency, material optimization, inventory accuracy, and timely completion of manufacturing orders. The position has direct responsibility for CNC programming, nesting optimization, and supporting production readiness.

• Technical Drawing interpretation.

• CAD software knowledge.

• CNC machine programming experience.

• Knowledge of Sheet Metal manufacturing processes.

• Experience in a manufacturing environment.
