Quantity Surveyor – Plumbing and Drainage
Join a well-established Plumbing and Drainage business as a Quantity Surveyor, taking ownership of the commercial performance of projects ranging from $500k to $10M. We are looking for a person that is commercially minded with a history of working in a positive team environment.
Advantage Plumbing & Drainlaying has branches in Queenstown and Christchuch, where you will be a key member of the Management Team. You will be involved through all projects' lifecycles, from pricing, presentation, planning, procurement negotiations, project implementation and delivery, through to final account. In this role you will be performing as the financial lead on all projects and report to the Directors. You will ensure costs are managed effectively, risks are identified early, and projects are delivered profitably.
This is an opportunity for an experienced Quantity Surveyor who thrives on shaping outcomes, building strong relationships internally and externally, and being trusted to make commercial decisions that drive all projects' success rates.

Responsibilities
Lead and support tendering and pricing confidently
Manage projects' financial performance
Oversee contracts, variations, retentions and claims
Procure and manage subcontractors
Monitor costs, risks, and cashflow
You will have:
2+ years' Quantity Surveying experience within the NZ plumbing industry
Strong understanding of project financial management, procurement, contracts, and risk management
A proactive, solutions-focused approach and a commitment to delivering successful project outcomes
