  • Lead the flagship store

  • Management incentive scheme and generous staff discount

  • 40 hour week designed around you

Stepping slightly outside our usual fashion realm, we're excited to be partnering with a proudly NZ-owned, large format lifestyle retailer as they grow their bricks-and-mortar presence across the country. Born online and now building a coveted in-store experience, their stores are community hubs built on education, authenticity and genuine service. The Mt Wellington flagship is where the standard is set.

This is an opportunity for a Store Manager who wants to run their own business in every sense. Owning performance, cultivating a high performing team and building a store that's woven into its local community. This role suits a retail leader who loves building something from the ground up and wants real ownership of their store.

What you will be doing:

  • Leading, coaching and developing your Assistant Store Manager and a team of Retail Educators.

  • Owning the store's financial performance, operations and standards as if it were your own.

  • Driving daily, weekly and monthly KPIs across sales, service and customer education.

  • Planning and executing local area marketing, from in-store events and activations to partnerships with local businesses and community groups.

  • Creating a welcoming, customer-ready environment and using customer feedback to elevate every touchpoint.

  • Building a feedback-rich culture where people love to work, grow and stay.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Store Manager or long standing Assistant Manager experience in a high volume/big retail environment. Lifestyle, fashion and specialty retail backgrounds are all welcome.

  • Strong leadership, sales and team development skills, with a coaching-first approach.

  • Experience developing and executing store-level marketing plans.

  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.

  • An owner's mindset, with the ability to read trends, solve problems and act quickly.

  • Confidence with POS and retail management systems, Google Workspace and MS Office.

  • Be able to work weekends, public holidays and varied shifts.

You will be rewarded with:

  • An attractive management incentive scheme based on sales results and cost control.

  • A 40-hour week designed with you to support both performance and personal wellbeing.

  • A generous staff discount.

  • Regular team lunches and social activities.

  • The chance to shape the blueprint for a growing national store network.
