The Natural Funeral Company is looking for a dedicated team member to support families through one of life’s most difficult times.
Based in Eden Terrace, Auckland, we provide personal, professional, and compassionate care, offering natural, traditional, and bespoke funerals that reflect each family's and their loved ones' lives and wishes.
Key Responsibilities
Meet with families to discuss their wishes and arrange personalised funerals.
Coordinate and direct funeral services with dignity, care and professionalism.
Arrange natural, traditional and bespoke funerals.
Care for and prepare the deceased with dignity and respect.
Liaise with celebrants, clergy, cemeteries, crematoriums and other service providers.
Complete funeral documentation and administrative tasks accurately.
Provide compassionate guidance and support to bereaved families.
Assist with mortuary duties as required, including general tasks such as washing company vehicles and trimming caskets.
Work collaboratively with the team to ensure every detail is managed to a high standard.
About You
We’re looking for someone who is:
Warm, empathetic and approachable, with a genuine desire to help others.
An excellent communicator who can build trusting relationships with families.
Organised, reliable and attentive to detail.
Professional, respectful and able to manage sensitive situations.
Comfortable working independently and as part of a small, supportive team.
Experienced in funeral directing; relevant qualification preferred but not essential.
The Position
Hours: 35 hours per week with flexibility to work extra hours, plus on-call duties twice a month; weekends only. A good remuneration package is offered.
