Operations Director

Location: Jakarta
Working Arrangement: Full-time, Permanent
Working Schedule: Monday – Friday, 09.00 – 18.00
Farm Visits: Approximately 1–2 times per month, around one week per visit

About the Opportunity

We are looking for an experienced Operations Director to lead and oversee the end-to-end operations of a growing modern livestock business. Based in Jakarta, this role will be responsible for managing farm and slaughterhouse operations, driving operational performance, and ensuring strong standards across production, animal health, and biosecurity.

You will play a key role in building the operational structure, developing effective systems and processes, and preparing the business for expansion into additional farms. This position requires a commercially minded leader who can balance production performance, operational efficiency, revenue growth, and workforce management.

What You’ll Do

Oversee daily farm operations, including breeding, farrowing, feeding, animal health, and production targets.
Manage slaughterhouse operations while ensuring efficiency, quality, and operational consistency.
Establish and maintain strict biosecurity and disease prevention standards.
Lead and develop the operations team, including building the organizational structure, SOPs, and KPIs.
Take ownership of the operations P&L, cost control, and workforce planning.
Drive revenue opportunities from breeding stock and related services in collaboration with senior management.
Lead operational planning and execution for the development of additional farm facilities.
Work closely with international technical partners on genetics, training, and operational standards.
Monitor operational performance and provide regular reports, insights, and recommendations to senior management.

What We’re Looking For

Minimum 10 years of experience in modern livestock operations, including senior leadership responsibilities.
Strong experience in pig farming is preferred; candidates from modern cattle, dairy, or broiler operations may also be considered.
Proven ability to lead large operational teams, ideally managing approximately 50 employees or more.
Strong commercial understanding, with experience managing both revenue and operational costs.
Solid knowledge of biosecurity, disease prevention, and production performance indicators.
Good understanding of the Indonesian livestock market and local operating environment.
Fluent in English, with the ability to communicate effectively with international consultants and partners.
Experience engaging with government stakeholders and managing external relationships.
Independent, adaptable, and self-driven, with the ability to work effectively in a developing business environment.
