The Peer Support Team are seeking a new team member. Working in the community with whānau on their journey of recovery. We are seeking someone with or has a strong understanding of lived experience and peer led support.
This is a fulltime position working in our Head office in Ahuriri. Monday-Friday 8.00-4.30pm
Key role responsibilities:
- Engage effectively with whānau that require support
- Peer Support understanding and ability to draw from your own experience
- Role model exceptional professionalism and boundaries with colleagues and whaiora
- Ability to work in a challenging role where you can make a difference
- Ability to work in a team and environment from a bicultural perspective
- Adaptability to changing priorities and tasks
- Minimum qualification Health & Wellbeing (Mental Health) Level 4 is an essential requirement
- Hold a clean, current full drivers' license is an essential requirement.
- A strong understanding of cultural diversity specifically our commitment to Māori and Pasifika
- Supports Te Tiriti o Waitangi & Equitable outcome for whanau
- Understanding of Te Whare Tapa Wha, Hua Oranga, Te Powhiri Poutama all within a Peer Led space
