About the Role
ARCO Group is on the lookout for an experienced Site Manager to join our Waikato team. You'll take the lead on-site, managing the successful delivery of high-quality commercial construction projects ranging in size and complexity. This full-time position offers the opportunity to work with a tight-knit, high-performing team that takes pride in delivering outstanding results for our repeat clients.

What You’ll Be Doing

·         Take ownership of day-to-day operations across the construction site

·         Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, materials, and logistics to ensure seamless project delivery

·         Monitor progress and uphold ARCO’s high standards of quality, safety, and programme performance

·         Ensure full compliance with building codes, health & safety requirements, and ARCO procedures

·         Manage all on-site H&S documentation and promote a strong safety-first culture

·         Work closely with the wider project team—including project managers, QSs, and consultants—to drive successful outcomes

·         Proactively identify and resolve site issues to maintain momentum and avoid delays

·         Maintain clear and open communication with all stakeholders throughout the build

What We’re Looking For

·         3+ years of experience in a Site Manager role, ideally within the commercial construction sector

·         Carpentry trade qualification strongly preferred

·         Excellent knowledge of construction methodology, NZ building code, and on-site management practices

·         Confident leadership style with the ability to motivate and manage teams effectively

·         Strong communication, problem-solving, and organisational skills

·         Familiarity with construction software such as Procore and MS Project is advantageous

·         Proven ability to deliver projects on time and within budget

·         A clean and professional record
