We have a full-time opportunity for a Slitting Operator to join our team here at our main manufacturing plant in Hamilton. The position is for our afternoon shift: 2pm-10pm. We are looking for someone who is hard working, physically fit, has a great attitude, enjoys working as part of a team and most importantly, reliability. This is a role that plays a critical part in the success here at Convex.

Key tasks and responsibilities:

• Completing all documentation in a clear and concise manner

• Taking good care of the work material and equipment used

• Comply with standard operating and maintenance procedures

• Proactively looking for opportunities to streamline and improve efficiency of work processes

• Undertake quality specification testing procedures to ensure that machines are working optimally during the production process

• Consistently produce quality products at expected outputs with minimal waste

• Meeting specific department objectives

You will bring to the role:

• Willing to gain a qualification in Manufacturing and/or experience

• A professional team focused individual who demonstrates a willingness to be flexible and provide support to others to ensure group objectives are meet

• Self-motivated

• Mechanically minded

• Physically fit, due to some heavy lifting

• A strong attention to detail, organisational skills, and commitment to quality

• Effective written and verbal communication skills with good basic mathematics.
