About the role
VIP Reo is looking for a competent Reinforcing Estimator / Detailer to take ownership of residential, small commercial and miscellaneous reinforcing work. This is a hands-on role for someone who understands reinforcing, can confidently price jobs and produce accurate detailing and bar bending schedules. You'll primarily work on housing projects, light commercial and other smaller works, managing enquiries from pricing through to detailing and production coordination.
Key responsibilities
Prepare reinforcing take-offs, estimates and quotations
Price residential, small commercial and miscellaneous reinforcing projects
Produce accurate reinforcing shop drawings and bar bending schedules
Interpret structural drawings and specifications
Liaise directly with customers, builders, and production staff
Manage drawing revisions, technical queries, and changes
Coordinate assigned jobs to ensure production has the right information at the right time
Manage multiple enquiries and jobs efficiently
About you
Experience in reinforcing estimating and/or detailing
A sound understanding of reinforcing steel and fabrication
Confidence reading structural and construction drawings
Strong estimating, numerical and technical skills
Experience with reinforcing detailing or scheduling software
The ability to manage your own workload and meet deadlines
Good communication skills and a practical approach to solving problems
