Transforming the daily lives of people in need.

Icare Medical Group designs premium homecare equipment that helps people with disability and aged care needs live better at home. We operate across New Zealand, Australia and the USA, working with mobility dealers and occupational therapists and building a brand people are proud to have in their homes.

We hustle, we’re helpful and we’re honest, and we’re looking for someone who works the same way.

About the role

Are you a credit controller who gets results, likes owning your ledger and doesn't need someone looking over your shoulder? We're looking for an experienced person to manage our receivables and help keep our cash flow strong. You'll look after the full credit control function across several entities. This is a hands-on role for someone who's confident on the phone, persistent and professional, and who gets real satisfaction from bringing overdue balances down. Our finance team is growing alongside the business, so there's scope to take on more over time.

Key responsibilities

  • Managing debtor ledgers end to end and chasing overdue accounts by phone and email

  • Resolving disputes and queries, and negotiating payment arrangements

  • Keeping accurate records, notes and aged debtor reporting

  • Allocating customer payments and reconciling the bank

  • Supporting day-to-day cash management and cash flow reporting

  • Working with internal teams to fix the causes of late payment

  • Escalating accounts and working with collection agencies when needed

  • Finding ways to improve our processes as you go

About you

  • At least 3 years in credit control, with a track record of reducing debtor days

  • Confident, assertive and tactful, and able to stay calm in difficult conversations

  • Able to work independently, use your initiative and manage your own priorities

  • Strong attention to detail, with experience in bank reconciliations

  • Able to learn new systems quickly, with good Excel skills

  • Experience with a mid-sized to large ERP system such as NetSuite, SAP, Microsoft Dynamics/Business Central, Oracle or similar

  • Experience working across multiple entities or currencies

  • Study towards an accounting qualification, or an interest in starting one

Benefits

  • Hours to suit you, anywhere from 30 to 40 a week

  • Office-based role with flexibility for life's commitments

  • Room to develop your career gradually as the team grows

  • Free parking and no motorway commute into the city

  • A supportive team where your work is noticed and valued
