RONDA Australia is operated by Henfond Intelligent Innovations Pty Ltd. We are growing our battery energy storage business in Australia, with a focus on residential and commercial & industrial (C&I) energy storage solutions.
We are looking for a BESS Technical Support Specialist to support RONDA’s installer and distributor network across Australia.
About the Role
This is a hands-on technical support role covering RONDA battery energy storage systems, inverters and related products.
The role will provide technical support by phone, email, remote monitoring and on-site where required, including system setup, commissioning support, troubleshooting and fault diagnosis.
Technical support may be provided remotely or on-site depending on the nature of the issue and business requirements. This may include fault investigation, commissioning support, warranty assessments and working alongside installers.
The role will also involve delivering product and technical training to installers and distributors, assisting with product compliance and technical documentation for the Australian market, and working with RONDA’s engineering and manufacturing teams.
Key Responsibilities
Provide day-to-day technical support to installers, distributors and customers for RONDA battery and inverter products.
Respond to technical enquiries by phone, email and remote monitoring platforms.
Assist installers with system setup, commissioning, configuration and troubleshooting.
Diagnose battery, inverter, BMS and system communication issues.
Review fault codes, system logs and monitoring data to identify and resolve technical issues.
Troubleshoot CAN, RS485, Modbus and other battery/inverter communication issues.
Support residential and C&I BESS applications.
Attend site as required for fault diagnosis, commissioning support, warranty investigations and other technical matters.
Work with installers and external electricians during on-site troubleshooting where required.
Deliver product, commissioning and troubleshooting training to installers and distributors.
Assist with warranty investigations and technical fault assessments.
Liaise with RONDA’s engineering and manufacturing teams to resolve technical issues and escalate complex cases.
Maintain inverter compatibility information and support integration with third-party inverter products.
Develop and maintain troubleshooting guides, FAQs, commissioning procedures and technical training materials.
Assist with product compliance and technical documentation for the Australian market.
Maintain technical product information relevant to the Australian market.
Provide technical feedback from the Australian market to RONDA’s product and engineering teams.
About You
We are looking for someone with practical experience in solar, batteries, inverters or energy storage systems who enjoys troubleshooting and working directly with installers.
Ideally, you will have:
Experience in solar, battery, inverter or BESS technical support.
Good understanding of battery energy storage systems, BMS and inverter integration.
Experience with commissioning, troubleshooting and fault diagnosis.
Familiarity with CAN, RS485 and/or Modbus communications.
Strong technical problem-solving skills.
Confidence providing technical support by phone, email and remotely.
Ability to communicate clearly with installers, distributors and customers.
Ability to deliver product and technical training.
Good understanding of Australian solar, battery and electrical industry requirements.
Ability to work independently and manage technical cases through to resolution.
Ability to communicate effectively with engineering and manufacturing teams.
Experience with residential BESS systems is highly regarded. Experience with C&I energy storage systems, Australian product compliance, electrical engineering or an electrical trade background will also be an advantage.
What We Offer
$75,000–$95,000 + super, based on experience.
Full-time position based in Alexandria, Sydney.
