We are seeking a qualified or experienced Fitter Welder to join our team. This position is ideal for someone confident in carrying out a variety of engineering and fabrication tasks, both in the workshop and on-site.

Gray Construction is a well-established engineering company with over 40 years in the game. We specialise in heavy fabrication and mechanical work across various sectors including heavy transport, mining, quarry maintenance, earth-moving equipment and general jobbing.

The Role Includes:

• Performing a variety of engineering tasks, including fabrication, maintenance, and troubleshooting of equipment and machinery

• Maintenance and rebuilds of quarry and mining plant

• Collaborating with project managers and other team members to ensure the successful completion of construction projects

• Tackling breakdowns, repairs, and general engineering work

Requirements:

• Technical skills and knowledge of engineering principles, practices, and techniques

• Trade qualification (Fitter Welder / Fabricator) or Well rounded background in engineering/fabrication work

• Competent welder in Mig, Tig, and Arc

• Ability to read and interpret drawings

• Good time management and the ability to work unsupervised

• Produce clean, well-finished work with an eye for detail

• Understand and apply sound health and safety procedures
