Ground Up Brewing – Wānaka, Central Otago
Ground Up Brewing is looking for an experienced, commercially minded Team member with a proven track record to help take our brewery and taproom business to the next level.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced team member who combines attention to detail and marketing expertise with excellent photography, social media and content creation skills. You will play a key role in growing our brand, increasing revenue, attracting customers and building lasting relationships across the local hospitality and tourism sectors.
About the role
This is a hands-on, varied role combining, brand marketing, digital content and hospitality operations.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Taproom sales growth: Work with team to develop and implement strategies to increase taproom sales, functions, events, group bookings and wider business opportunities.
Business development: Build relationships with local businesses, tourism operators, accommodation providers, event organizers and hospitality venues.
Marketing strategy: Plan and deliver marketing campaigns, promotions and seasonal initiatives that drive customer traffic and revenue to our taproom
Photography & content creation: Capture high-quality photography and video of our beer, food, venue, events and experiences.
Social media management: Create engaging content, manage our social media channels, develop a content calendar and grow our online audience.
Brand development: Strengthen Ground Up Brewing’s profile and ensure consistent, engaging brand presentation across all marketing channels.
Events & promotions: Coordinate and promote events, collaborations, taproom activities and special offers.
Commercial performance: Monitor campaign results, customer engagement and sales performance, identifying opportunities for growth.
Hospitality operations: Support taproom operations when required and maintain high standards of customer service and compliance.
About you
We are looking for someone who can demonstrate:
Qualifications and significant practical experience in sales, marketing with the taproom and through events.
A proven ability to generate sales, welcome customers and gain return market trade.
Strong photography and visual content creation skills.
Hands-on experience managing social media platforms and creating engaging digital campaigns.
Excellent communication, relationship-building and organizational skills.
A proactive, independent approach, with the ability to turn ideas into results.
Experience in hospitality, tourism, food and beverage or consumer brands is highly desirable.
A current New Zealand Duty Manager’s Certificate, with the knowledge and confidence to support licensed hospitality operations.
Experience with graphic design tools, Canva, email marketing, website content and digital advertising would be an advantage.
