About the role

Alignz Recruitment are looking for experienced civil machine operators to work on major infrastructure projects across Wellington and the Wairarapa.

Key responsibilities

• Operating excavators, loaders, rollers and dump trucks

• Earthworks, trenching and site preparation

• Loading and moving construction materials

• Working around underground services

• Completing daily pre-start checks

• Assisting civil crews outside the machine when required

• Following site plans and safety procedures

About you

• Previous civil construction experience

• Confident operating machinery safely

• Current W, T and R endorsements

• Full Class 1 licence; Class 2 or 4 is an advantage

• Reliable and physically fit

• Strong health-and-safety awareness

• Site Safe is an advantage

• Reliable transport

• Ability to pass a drug and alcohol test

• Legal right to work in New Zealand
