This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys working with numbers, takes pride in accuracy and organisation, and can confidently manage a range of recurring financial and administrative tasks.

Key responsibilities

  • Complete daily bank, cash and EFTPOS reconciliations, reconcile online payment platforms and investigate discrepancies.

  • Assist with weekly payroll processing when required, maintain payroll records and prepare payroll journals.

  • Prepare and process PAYE and GST payments, post journals and complete regular general ledger reconciliations.

  • Process refunds accurately and respond to accounts-related enquiries in a timely and professional manner.

  • Maintain accurate financial records, supporting documentation and organised filing systems to support reporting, audits and year-end requirements.

  • Identify opportunities to improve the accuracy and efficiency of financial processes and work collaboratively with other departments to resolve queries.

About you

You are organised, methodical and proactive, with a strong eye for detail and a practical approach to getting things done. You take ownership of your responsibilities, enjoy solving problems and understand the importance of maintaining accurate and confidential financial information.

Ideally, you will bring:

  • Experience in accounts administration or a similar financial administration role.

  • A sound understanding of accounting principles and accounts payable and receivable processes.

  • Experience using accounting software, preferably MYOB.

  • Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills, including formulas, sorting, filtering and working confidently with spreadsheets.

  • Strong organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritise competing tasks and meet deadlines.

  • Excellent accuracy and attention to detail when processing transactions and maintaining financial records.

  • Clear and professional communication skills, with the ability to build positive working relationships across the business.

  • A proactive mindset, with the ability to investigate discrepancies, identify solutions and suggest improvements to existing processes.

  • A high level of integrity and discretion when handling confidential financial, payroll, supplier and guest information.

If you are an organised and reliable accounts professional who takes pride in accuracy, enjoys working collaboratively and is looking for an opportunity to make a meaningful contribution, we’d love to hear from you.
