- Installing, maintaining and repairing industrial electrical systems and equipment
- Diagnosing and troubleshooting electrical faults
- Working with motors, control panels, switchboards and industrial machinery
- Carrying out preventative maintenance and breakdown repairs
- Reading and interpreting electrical drawings and schematics
- Testing, inspecting and ensuring electrical systems are operating safely
- Working alongside maintenance teams and other trades
- Ensuring all work complies with NZ electrical regulations and health and safety standards
- Experience working as an Industrial Electrician
- Current NZ electrical registration and practising licence, or eligibility to obtain these
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
- Experience with industrial machinery, motors and control systems
- PLC, automation or instrumentation experience would be an advantage
- Ability to work independently and solve problems
- Full driver's licence preferred
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test
