We are looking for a motivated, positive and experienced Hotel Receptionist/Guest Service Agent to join our busy Front Office team at The Devon Hotel.
We are not your typical hotel. The Devon is a busy, fast paced operation, with a high volume of guests, conferences, events and our ever popular Marbles Buffet Restaurant. No two days are the same, and we pride ourselves on delivering great hospitality while keeping up with the demands of a busy operation.
We are looking for someone with a can do attitude, who enjoys working with people, thrives under pressure and can confidently juggle multiple tasks without compromising guest service.
What we are looking for
Previous hotel reception or front office experience preferred.
Experience with Mews PMS would be a significant advantage. Knowledge of Clarity or other hotel property management systems is also beneficial.
A positive, outgoing personality and a genuine passion for hospitality.
Strong communication skills and a professional presentation.
The ability to multitask, prioritise and remain calm under pressure.
Good problem solving skills and the confidence to think on your feet.
A team player who is flexible, reliable and willing to help wherever needed.
Availability to work rostered shifts, including weekends and public holidays.

You will be joining a supportive and hardworking team in one of New Plymouth's busiest hospitality operations.
The role involves much more than checking guests in and out. You will be managing reservations, guest enquiries, payments and daily front office operations while working closely with other departments to ensure a seamless guest experience.
