Love variety, solving problems and making things happen?

We’re looking for a practical, organised and proactive Facilities, Safety & Business Support Coordinator to join Pathlab.

This is a busy and varied role with plenty of opportunity to get involved across the business. You’ll help keep our workplaces safe, our facilities running well, our health and safety processes on track, and provide practical operational support where it’s needed.

No two days will necessarily look the same. You might be coordinating a repair or contractor visit, following up a health and safety action, sorting out a supply issue, supporting a workplace move or

helping with an operational project.

It’s a role for someone who enjoys being hands-on, likes having plenty on the go and takes pride in getting things sorted.

What you’ll be doing

You’ll coordinate a broad mix of facilities, safety and operational activities, including:

  • Day-to-day health and safety activities, registers, inspections, audits and follow-up actions
  • Supporting incident investigations, risk management and Health & Safety Committee activities
  • Being a key point of contact for facilities issues, maintenance and service requests
  • Coordinating contractors, maintenance providers, cleaners, security suppliers and other service providers
  • Organising repairs, planned maintenance, minor works and workplace setup requirements
  • Supporting security, access control, keys, equipment and asset management
  • Coordinating stores, stock, uniforms, PPE and other operational supplies
  • Supporting contractor onboarding and offboarding
  • Maintaining operational records, databases and compliance documentation
  • Helping with business continuity, emergency management and other operational projects
  • Looking for practical ways to improve how things are done.
  • You’ll be the person who notices what needs doing, takes ownership and follows it through.

What we’re looking for

You might come from facilities, health and safety, operations, office or business support, or a role where you’ve had to coordinate lots of moving parts.

You’ll be someone who:

  • Is highly organised and comfortable managing competing priorities
  • Has a practical approach and enjoys solving problems
  • Builds good relationships and is confident dealing with contractors, suppliers and people across the business
  • Communicates clearly and follows things through
  • Is comfortable working with systems, registers, documentation and compliance requirements
  • Has a good understanding of workplace health and safety
  • Can work independently and use initiative
  • Pays attention to the detail while still seeing what needs to happen overall
  • Is always looking for ways to make things work a little better.

Experience across facilities and health and safety would be an advantage, but attitude, initiative and the ability to get things done will be just as important.
