- Run breakfast and dinner services predominantly on your own — a true one‑person show during AM and PM shifts

- Leading by example and helping guide junior kitchen staff when required
- Monitor food quality at all stages of preparation to ensure consistency and exceed guest expectations.
- Assist in menu development and stock management, helping to minimise waste and control costs.
- Support and guide kitchen team members, sharing techniques and maintaining high culinary standards.
- Ensure hygiene and safety compliance within their station, keeping the kitchen clean and organised.
- Communicate with kitchen and waiting staff to provide accurate information about menu items and availability.
- 3 years' experience in a chef position or an NZ Diploma
- Strong knowledge of cooking techniques and solid knife skills
- Excellent communication, attentive listening skills, and the ability to work independently
- A self-managed approach with strong time‑management and organisational ability
- The capacity to remain calm and efficient in a fast-paced kitchen
- A proactive attitude toward safety, hygiene, and quality
- Variable roster across AM and PM shifts (which will include weekdays, weekends, and public holidays)
