We are seeking a Dental Hygienist to join the clinical team at our busy Takapuna dental practice. This position will suit a Hygienist or Oral Health Therapist practitioner who is reliable and would enjoy working alongside our friendly team of dentists and hygienist at our state-of-the-art Dental Practice.

You will need to work efficiently and independently, possess a commitment to high professional standards and patient care, and demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills.

The position is for Thursday and Friday. Remuneration will reflect experience and capabilities.

Applicants for this hygienist position need to be registered with the Dental Council in Oral Health Therapy or Dental Hygiene and must be eligible to work in New Zealand with NZ residency or a valid NZ work visa.

Our practice is open 5 days a week and operates Monday to Friday.

·         Ability to interact with patients in a caring manner.

·         Be punctual and professionally presentable, maintaining a polite and polished demeanour.

·         Able to work in a team environment.

·         Be self-organized in a large-scale environment.

·         A professional work ethic with a passion for learning and applying a range of services that hygiene can entail.

·         Must have good interpersonal skills and fundamental knowledge of general IT

·         Open to change and new ideas

·         Apply a range of services for hygiene appointments.

·         Root planning with monitoring and follow-up. 

·         You will need to help out within the practice when you do not have any clients booked.

·         Perio charting and comprehensive note recording.

·         Ability to give local anesthetic.

Qualifications & experience

·         Qualification in Oral Health Therapy or Dental Hygiene

·         Registration with the Dental Council of New Zealand
