The Role (this role is based at our Auckland office, but we may look at candidates if they are Christchurch-based)
This isn’t just ticking boxes and pushing paper. You’ll be at the centre of helping people get back on the road by:
Talking with customers about their pride and joy (cars, bikes, caravans, or motorhomes) and guiding them through the repair journey.
Reviewing digital photos of damage, interpreting what needs to be done, and explaining the repair process.
Working with repairers to agree on the scope of works and making sure jobs are done right the first time.
Occasionally getting hands-on with on-site assessments.
Keeping the repair process moving until completion.
Spotting inconsistencies in claims and reporting them.
Helping with valuations, underwriting appraisals, and the sale of damaged vehicles (check out starauctions.co.nz).
Writing clear, professional reports and recommendations for our claims team.
Who We’re Looking For
You don’t need insurance experience; we’ll teach you that. What matters is practical know-how and a knack for people. Maybe you’ve been a service advisor, panel beater, painter, mechanic, or anything in between.
If you’ve got these traits, you’ll fit right in:
A self-starter who doesn’t need hand-holding.
Practical and solutions-focused (you fix, build, or improve things without overthinking).
Organised and able to juggle multiple moving parts.
A people person who can connect, explain, and negotiate.
Comfortable with tech and able to write clear, professional emails.
Positive, energetic, and not afraid to muck in with the team.
