INFOBUS is a travel technology company that helps millions of people find and book bus, train, and flight tickets. We’re looking for a Senior Project Manager to lead delivery across our web and mobile products, from shaping ideas with the Product Owner (PO) to releasing new features to travelers.
You will independently lead the team’s day-to-day delivery, coordinate work across teams, and give stakeholders release forecasts they can use to make decisions. You will also use delivery data to identify where work slows down and test changes that help the team release faster and more predictably.
Key Responsibilities
Work with the PO to turn product priorities into a realistic delivery plan. Agree on each initiative’s goal, scope, milestones, dependencies, and acceptance criteria.
Manage the backlog and prepare work for development. Help the team break initiatives into tasks, clarify requirements, and agree on what needs to be in place before work begins.
Plan sprints and releases around actual team capacity, accounting for support duties, time off, technical work, and external commitments.
When priorities or scope change, explain the impact on delivery dates and agree with the PO on what to add or defer. Keep the original plan as a baseline for comparing forecasts with outcomes.
Coordinate dependencies across web, mobile, API, design, QA, analytics, and marketing teams. For each dependency, document the decision, owner, and deadline.
Coordinate releases: confirm readiness with engineering and QA, organize acceptance and approvals, and communicate launch details. Allow time for app store submission and review when planning mobile releases.
Identify risks and blockers early and work with the people responsible to resolve them. When a decision requires the CTO’s input, present the options and their likely consequences in time to act.
Track cycle time, time to market, and how much planned work the team completes each sprint. Investigate why tasks stall or carry over, make changes, and measure their impact.
Keep the team and stakeholders informed about what is complete, what has changed, which dates are at risk, and what decisions are needed. End meetings with clear decisions and agreed next steps.
Required Experience and Skills
Experience independently leading web or mobile projects from planning to release. You can describe a difficult delivery decision, the options you considered, and the outcome.
Understanding of the software development lifecycle, from requirements and design through development, code review, QA, acceptance, and release. You can account for dependencies between APIs, client applications, and environments.
Practical experience planning around team capacity and estimates, and working with product roadmaps, backlogs, and release plans. You can explain the basis for a delivery forecast and revise it when conditions change.
Experience coordinating multiple teams or functions, resolving blockers, and bringing complex issues to leadership with concrete options.
Ability to calculate and validate delivery metrics, distinguish the root causes of delays from their symptoms, and assess the impact of changes.
Experience with Jira and Confluence or similar tools. You can apply Scrum or Kanban to suit the team’s needs, define readiness and acceptance criteria, and document decisions.
Nice to Have
Experience working on B2C products and publishing apps on the App Store and Google Play.
Experience working with analytics and marketing teams, along with an understanding of UX/UI and A/B testing principles.
Examples, backed by data, of changes you introduced that reduced waiting time between stages or improved the accuracy of release forecasts.
What We Offer
Ownership of new features for the INFOBUS website and mobile apps, from planning with the Product Owner to releasing them to travelers across different countries.
The autonomy to choose how you plan sprints, coordinate dependencies across teams, and prepare for releases.
The opportunity to try new ways of working and use delivery data to see whether they reduce delays between stages and improve release forecasts.
Direct collaboration with engineering, design, QA, analytics, and marketing, so you can see how each team contributes to a launch.
