Pulse is a specialist medical group: vein treatment, vascular surgery, ultrasound and aesthetics, across 12 locations from Auckland to Queenstown. We've run our paid advertising and content through an agency. We're bringing it in-house, and we want one capable marketer to own it.

That's you, if you can run paid, organic, email and content yourself, read the numbers, and use AI tools as a normal part of how you work rather than a novelty.

What you'll own

  • The annual marketing plan and campaign calendar. Campaigns that generate patient enquiries and bookings, not just reach.

  • Paid media across Meta, Google and TikTok. You'll run the accounts yourself, with a monthly media budget to go with it.

  • Organic search, our websites, social accounts, email and CRM campaigns.

  • Content. Video, stills, blogs, web pages. Shot, written and shipped by you, with AI doing the heavy lifting where it can.

  • Reporting on what matters: leads, bookings, cost per acquisition, return on ad spend. You'll present this to management and be expected to have a view on what to change.

  • New service and new market launches. We're growing, and marketing is on the front foot for every opening.

  • Brand consistency across every touchpoint, and compliance with NZ advertising standards for health services.

What we need from you

  • 3+ years in a hands-on marketing role in a small or medium commercial business, where you did the work rather than briefed it out.

  • Proven results in paid social and Google Ads. You can show us an account you ran and what happened.

  • Comfortable with SEO, email platforms (we use Klaviyo), website CMS, and analytics.

  • Fluent with AI tools in daily marketing work: drafting, creative, research, analysis, automation. You should be able to tell us how AI has changed how you work in the last 12 months. If it hasn't, this isn't the role.

  • You can make content. Shoot a reel on your phone, write a clear blog, brief a designer when needed.

  • Commercially minded. You care about bookings and revenue, not just engagement.

  • Marketing or Communications degree. Health sector experience is useful but not required.

Why Pulse

  • You'll report to the Business Manager and work closely with the owner, a vascular surgeon who built the group. Short chain of command, fast decisions.

  • The function is yours to build. No legacy team, no agency to manage around, no politics.

  • A business with real momentum: 12 locations, new services launching, expansion underway.

  • Work that matters. Our patients are dealing with painful veins, vascular disease and conditions that affect how they feel about themselves. Good marketing gets them to care sooner.

  • Modern tools and a leadership team that uses AI themselves and expects you to as well.

The details

  • Permanent, full time, 40 hours a week.

  • Based in our Wellington office at Pamir House. This is an in-office role.

  • $75,000 – $110,000 depending on experience.

How to apply

Send your CV and a cover letter through Seek. In the cover letter, tell us one campaign you ran, what it cost and what it delivered. Short and specific beats long and polished.

Applications close 5 November. We'll be interviewing as applications come in, so don't wait.
