Investigate operational performance across multiple data sources and turn findings into clear, practical recommendations
Maintain and improve operational Power BI dashboards so reporting supports real decision-making
Build trusted relationships with senior Operations stakeholders and influence decisions with evidence
Help shape the Operations Data Science roadmap by identifying and delivering high-value opportunities
Work to established standards for data quality, model governance and responsible AI, with reproducible work and a clear audit trail
What you’ll need
Professional experience in a data science role, applying statistical or machine learning techniques to real business problems (up to around two years’ experience)
Hands-on experience building data science solutions in Python and working with data in SQL
Experience across the full data science lifecycle, including problem framing, feature engineering, model evaluation, implementation and monitoring
Power BI experience, including data modelling, DAX, visualisation design and dashboard performance
Strong analytical problem-solving, with the curiosity and tenacity to dig into results
Clear communication and data storytelling skills for both technical and non-technical audiences
The ability to build trust with stakeholders and influence decisions
Desirable
Data science experience in operations, retail, supply chain, service or another operationally intensive environment
Forecasting, optimisation, classification, anomaly detection, experimentation or causal methods
PySpark, Databricks, Azure or similar cloud and big-data technologies
Deploying, integrating or monitoring ML models in production
Applying generative AI or other emerging AI techniques responsibly to business problems
What’s on offer
£45,000 – £53,000 depending on experience
Bonus scheme
Pension, life assurance, and medical and dental cover
Hybrid working, with just one day a week in the office
