About the role
This is a hands-on role for someone who's happiest on the tools. You'll run the bottling line day to day — operating the filler, corker/capper and labeller, handling changeovers between wine runs, and fixing the mechanical hiccups that come with any production line before they turn into downtime. You'll also hold a current forklift licence and help move stock around the winery.
Key responsibilities
Set up, run and adjust the bottling and labelling line for each production run
Diagnose and fix mechanical faults and stoppages on the spot — jams, misfeeds, sensor and alignment issues
Carry out changeovers between wine varieties and formats, plus routine cleaning and basic servicing
Check fill levels, seals, labels and packaging as bottles come off the line
Operate a forklift to move stock, load/unload materials and support production logistics
About you
Mechanical aptitude — you can spot what's wrong with a machine and fix it, not just report it
Experience on a bottling, packaging or similar production line (highly regarded, not essential)
A current forklift licence, or willingness to obtain one
Good physical fitness — this role involves regular lifting, standing and being on your feet
A full driver's licence and reliable transport
Based in, or able to commute reliably to, West Auckland
