Physical Therapist
Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist to join our inpatient services team. In this role, you will provide compassionate, patient-centered care to individuals of all ages, enhancing their physical health and functional abilities. Essential Functions
- Utilize critical thinking and sound judgment in delivering patient care, adhering to accepted national, departmental, and evidence-based practice standards.
- Document all treatments accurately and timely to support medical necessity in line with departmental standards.
- Manage necessary paperwork for billing, accurate charges, and authorizations while demonstrating effective time management according to departmental productivity standards.
- Commit to professional development by completing all required education and certifications in a timely manner.
- Supervise staff in compliance with state, federal, and professional guidelines.
- Engage and educate patients, families, and caregivers in treatment plans, goal setting, and discharge procedures.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements related to insurance and accrediting bodies.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Required:
- Education: Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy
- Certification: Licensed as a Physical Therapist by the appropriate regulatory board
Preferred:
- Education: Master's Degree in Physical Therapy
Work Requirements
Must be able to work assigned schedules determined by departmental needs. The position involves very heavy work, requiring the ability to exert significant physical force regularly, including moving objects and potential exposure to bodily fluids.
