About the role
If you enjoy variety, working with people and being the person who helps keep things organised, this could be a great fit.
You’ll provide day-to-day administrative support to our finance and leadership teams, while also sharing responsibility for reception and being a warm, welcoming point of contact for patients, whānau, visitors and staff.
The role is 30.5 hours per week across a two-week roster, with Monday off one week and Wednesday off the next. No two days are quite the same, and the work you do supports the delivery of compassionate palliative and end-of-life care across our community.
Key responsibilities
Welcoming visitors and whānau, and answering calls and enquiries with care and professionalism
Supporting our Finance Officer with day-to-day work in Xero and covering payroll when our Payroll Officer is away
Preparing letters, documents, reports, dashboards and spreadsheets, and supporting the Senior Leadership Team
Helping colleagues with everyday tech questions and making the most of Microsoft 365
Contributing to projects that improve the way we organise information, manage documents and report on our work
About you
A confident working knowledge of Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook and Teams) with an interest in developing skills in areas such as SharePoint, Microsoft Lists, and document management
Previous experience in a reception, administration or office support role
Excellent written communication, organisation and attention to detail
A team player with a calm, compassionate manner and discretion when handling confidential information
Someone who enjoys contributing ideas, improving systems and working with others to make processes as effective as they can be.
Xero experience would be a bonus, and we'll support you to learn if you're keen
Nice to have: payroll or ELMO experience, health, hospice or not-for-profit experience, or an understanding of the Privacy Act 2020 and Health Information Privacy Code
