We are looking for a Data Engineer to integrate a hybrid project in Lisbon.
Salary range: up to 50.000⬠annual gross.
Profile:
- Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Engineering, or equivalent technical field (Licenciatura);
- Strong experience with Python, SQL, data modeling, ETL/ELT development, and building production data pipelines;
- Solid experience with cloud-native data engineering, primarily on Azure, with practical exposure to AWS;
- Proven experience with Snowflake or comparable cloud data platforms;
- Deep understanding of enterprise data quality, orchestration, observability, metadata, lineage, access management, and governance;
- Experience supporting integrations across Azure-based AI services, Snowflake, APIs, file-based sources, and AWS data services;
- Ability to collaborate effectively with data scientists, AI engineers, business stakeholders, and local IT teams in international settings;
- Familiarity with GenAI software engineering tools (GitHub Copilot, Cursor, OpenCode) to accelerate data pipeline development.
Responsibilities:
- Design, build, and operate enterprise-grade ETL and ELT pipelines for AI, analytics, reporting, and agentic workflow use cases;
- Create clean, documented, and reusable data products from operational, customer, logistics, sales, and enterprise data sources;
- Implement data quality checks, monitoring, lineage, metadata, and reliability patterns to ensure production-ready datasets;
- Support seamlessly integrated data architectures across Azure-based AI services, Snowflake, APIs, file-based sources, and AWS data services;
- Collaborate with business and AI teams to translate use case requirements into scalable data models, pipelines, and serving layers;
- Partner with local IT and data owners to onboard new data sources while ensuring compliance with data protection, access control, and governance policies.
