About the Team and the Role
The AI Enablement team at Ather is responsible for turning Generative AI potential into everyday practice across engineering, design, operations, supply chain, and business functions by embedding AI tools into real workflows, surfacing high-value use cases, and building internal resources for lasting adoption.
This role is for an AI Enablement Engineer who is equal parts tinkerer and translator, experimenting with modern AI tools, explaining them clearly, writing foundational Python automations, and establishing testing, evaluation, and quality checks to ensure reliable AI adoption.
Responsibilities
Identify, scope, and implement AI-assisted workflows across teams, transitioning ideas from experimentation to daily operational use.
Systematically test and optimize prompt variations, curating reusable prompt libraries, templates, and best-practice guides for the organization.
Author clear how-to guides and quick-reference documentation while supporting and facilitating internal enablement sessions for non-technical teams.
Research, evaluate, and benchmark emerging AI trends, models, and tool releases alongside practical business use cases.
Develop Python scripts and lightweight integrations to automate workflows and resolve technical bottlenecks for colleagues.
Build and maintain evaluation suites ("evals") using curated golden test sets to assess AI outputs for accuracy, relevance, and groundedness.
Conduct red-teaming, edge-case probing, and spot-checks on high-visibility workflows to establish guardrails against hallucinations and non-compliant outputs.
Experience and Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)
0 to 2 years of relevant experience, with a demonstrable portfolio of AI experiments or automations
Must Have Competencies
Proficiency in Python scripting and lightweight automation, including REST API integration and Git/GitHub version control.
Comprehensive hands-on prompt engineering across modern foundation models to deliver deterministic and reliable business outputs.
Practical execution of AI evaluation methodologies using frameworks such as DeepEval, Promptfoo, or Ragas to score accuracy, relevance, and hallucination rates.
Working knowledge of LLM observability and tracing tools such as LangSmith or Langfuse for operational monitoring.
Good to Have Competencies
Systematic red-teaming, failure-mode discovery, and edge-case testing for non-deterministic Generative AI architectures.
Architecture of modular, reusable prompt libraries, templates, and enterprise technical enablement assets.
Lightweight workflow orchestration and systems integration connecting disparate internal enterprise software platforms.
Design of structured golden evaluation datasets derived from real-world operational user interactions.
