Job Description – Shift Process EngineerPosition: Shift Process EngineerLocation: Ayodhya, UPJob SummaryWe are looking for an experienced Shift Process Engineer to oversee paper machine operations during shifts, ensuring smooth production, consistent product quality, process optimization, and adherence to safety and environmental standards. The role requires strong technical knowledge of paper manufacturing processes and the ability to lead shift operations efficiently. Key ResponsibilitiesMonitor and control paper machine operations to achieve production and quality targets. Ensure efficient operation of fiber preparation, wet end, vacuum, dryer, size press, calendar, and finishing sections. Optimize process parameters to improve machine efficiency, productivity, and product quality. Monitor raw materials, chemicals, wet-end chemistry, and refining processes. Identify process abnormalities and implement corrective actions. Support new product trials and continuous process improvement initiatives. Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and operational standards. Coordinate with Maintenance, Quality, and Utility teams to minimize downtime. Lead shift manpower and maintain production records and reports. Required QualificationsBachelor's Degree/Diploma in Pulp & Paper Technology, Chemical Engineering, or a related discipline. Relevant experience in Paper manufacturing and Paper machine operations. Strong understanding of:Paper machine process and componentsFiber preparation and refiningWet-end chemistryVacuum and dryer systemsSize Press, IR Dryer, calendar operationsPaper quality parameters and customer requirementsGood troubleshooting, leadership, and problem-solving skills. Preferred SkillsProcess optimization and continuous improvementTeam handling and shift managementKnowledge of quality systems, safety, and environmental practicesStrong analytical and communication skills
