About the role

This is a hands-on, varied role where you'll help with everything from packing flower orders and serving customers to distributing flowers after our auctions and keeping our shop looking great. You'll be part of United Flower Growers (UFG), one of New Zealand's leading flower wholesalers, supplying fresh flowers to florists, supermarkets and retailers nationwide.

Key responsibilities

• Answer phone calls and help customers in our wholesale shop

• Pick, prepare and pack customer flower orders

• Pack flowers into boxes for delivery

• Unpack fresh flowers and put stock out for sale

• Distribute flowers to customers following our auctions

• Keep the shop, warehouse and work areas clean and tidy

• Enter invoices into computer

• Help with general day-to-day tasks as needed

About you

• Reliable and punctual – someone we can count on to turn up on time

• Hardworking and hands-on – happy to get stuck in and keep busy

• Friendly and helpful – comfortable dealing with customers in person and over the phone

• Good attention to detail – able to pack orders accurately and handle flowers with care

• Physically capable – comfortable being on your feet, lifting boxes and moving flower buckets

• A team player – willing to help wherever needed and bring a positive attitude
