About the role

The Company Accountant is a sole-charge, hands-on role reporting to Jed (Founder & Director). You sit on the management team of five, with a part-time Payroll Administrator reporting to you. Full-time, 32 hours over four days (Mon–Thu) at the office with the team, with scope for 37.5 hours over five days if that suits you and the role better. Your numbers get used—café managers run their Monday on your weekly report, and you're in the room at the monthly Numbers Meeting.

Finance & Administration is one of the six systems that run the business, and this role owns it. You will learn each process properly, see what's clunky, make it simpler or automate it, then write it up as clear steps so everyone else on the team can do their part well.
