Are you an experienced workers compensation professional with strong technical and injury management expertise?

As Australia's largest specialist in personal injury claims management, our sole focus is helping people return to work safely and confidently after a workplace incident.

We're now welcoming applications for a Technical & Injury Management Specialist to join our supportive, purpose-driven team in Sydney on a 12-month max-term contract/secondment, full-time basis, with flexibility to work from home up to 2 days per week.

You'll join our Specialised Insurance Group, supporting workers compensation claims management across a diverse range of industries and schemes, including Hospitality Industry Insurance (HII), Trinity and Guild.

This is a specialist opportunity for an experienced workers compensation professional who can bring strong technical knowledge, navigate complex claims and provide expert guidance and support to claims teams. You'll play an important role in strengthening claims management practices and achieving positive outcomes for injured workers and employers.

What You'll Be Doing

Provide technical guidance and advice to claims teams on complex workers compensation claims, legislation and scheme requirements.
Develop and implement effective injury management strategies to support recovery and sustainable return-to-work outcomes.
Provide specialist coaching, mentoring and one-on-one technical support to claims team members.
Support teams in navigating complex work capacity, treatment and long-term claim decisions.
Review claims management practices, identify emerging trends and recommend opportunities for improvement.
Partner with Team Leaders to develop strategies that strengthen technical capability and team performance.
Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to support effective claims outcomes.

What We're Looking For

We're looking for someone with a strong background in workers compensation claims management who can bring the technical expertise and confidence to support others in navigating complex claims.

Do you have…

Demonstrated experience in NSW workers compensation claims management, with a strong understanding of relevant legislation and scheme requirements?
Extensive technical knowledge of injury management and the ability to provide practical advice on complex claims?
Experience managing or providing technical oversight of long-term, complex and litigated workers compensation claims?
Strong knowledge of work capacity, treatment approvals and recovery and return-to-work strategies?
Experience providing technical guidance, coaching or mentoring to claims management professionals?
Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to influence and build effective working relationships?
The ability to assess complex situations, manage competing priorities and provide sound, considered advice?
